Harrison Poku-Yeboah
Harrison is a ReNew Democracy Foundation fellow serving in Representative Susie Lee's office. He graduated from Franklin University with a bachelor's degree in healthcare management. He previously served as Legislative Advisor for Columbus City Council. In Columbus, Harrison led various community-driven initiatives, such as coordinating the city’s Diwali celebration and Ramadan Iftar at City Hall. Harrison assisted local African organizations with fundraising and community services. Additionally, Harrison played a key role in ensuring African community participation in police reform efforts in the city. He is passionate about civic engagement, voting awareness, and advising educators on how to better serve African students.
Harrison was born in Italy and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He also spent part of his life in Ghana, which has deeply shaped his understanding of diverse cultures and communities. His unique background as an African man with global experiences has fueled his passion for fostering connections and advocating for meaningful change.
